Richard Rothstein, Author of “The Color of Law” to Speak Locally

Posted by Laura Denker on October 6th 2017

Dear Friends,

Now more than ever, it is important to understand the racial divide that faces our country. Richard Rothstein, author of The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America, is coming to Newark and Philadelphia next week. In his book, Mr. Rothstein uncovers the often-forgotten history of how policies of federal, state, and local governments intentionally created residential segregation. Mr. Rothstein is a research associate at the Economic Policy Institute, a fellow at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP, and a former New York Times columnist.

LaSalle University in Philadelphia will host Mr. Rothstein on October 10, 2017 at 6pm. This event will be held at Founders’ Hall Auditorium, 723 North Wister Street, Philadelphia. This is a free event, but guests are asked to register for planning purposes. For more information click here.

Mr. Rothstein will also be a guest lecturer at Rutgers University Honors College, Esterly Lounge, 2nd Floor Engelhard Hall, Rutgers-Newark on October 12, 2017 at 4pm. This is also a free event, no registration is necessary. We hope you will take the opportunity to hear this very important speaker.
